WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Christ the Rock World Restoration Church International, Inc.  Our Mission is to Build Lives through God’s Word, Prayer, Love & Support. 

          Established in June 1995 in the living room of Rev. Jonathan and Olutoyin Owhe in Brooklyn, New York, USA, Christ the Rock World Restoration Church International has grown to over a thousand members with churches in the United States, Asia, Africa and South America.

Since its inception, Christ the Rock Church set out to implement holistic ministry to address the spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and financial needs of children and families, including the unserved and underserved population in inner cities neighborhood. 

Our emphasis is preaching and teaching God’s Word with POWER.  Among our ministry emphasis include:  building strong families and marriages, delivering the oppressed, giving hope to the hopeless, giving support to the weak, feeding the poor, settling new immigrants and protecting the welfare of the child.  To these causes we are committed.

Among the pioneering efforts of Christ the Rock Church are:

Comprehensive Youth & Mentoring Program with an After School, Physical Fitness/Dance, Entrepreneurship/TV, Music/Drama & Cultural Enrichment Programming;

Christ the Rock Bible Institute in Joint Relationship with the Oral Roberts University.

• Christ the Rock University & Business School for Pastoral Education.

• Faith in Action & Health Services.  A volunteer care program, funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to help the elderly, frail and home-bound become independent.

• Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative, funded by New York City Department of Health and Coalition Partner-Brooklyn Prenatal Network;

• HIV/AIDS Outreach & Education, working in partnership with several Coalition Partners;

• Child & Adult Health Insurance, working in Partnership with major HMO’s, the Mayor’s Office and Health Plus;

• Physical Fitness Program (dance & aerobic classes) funded by New York State Association of Country Health Officials.

• Food Bank Outreach Center; we provide referrals to individuals in need of services at various city, state, federal and neighborhood organizations.

• United Way of New York City/Federation of Protestant Welfare Agency. Provide food pantry to the hungry.

• ACCESS NYC. Provide a free computer access to over 30 city, state and federal services to community residents.

• Economic development and community revitalization are among the hall marks of Christ the Rock life changing efforts.  To the end, we have established the Rock-gate Community Development Inc. 

All these ministries and programming would not have been possible without the good support of our members, founders, friends and partners.

VISION

(The following Christ the Rock Ministry Vision was given by God for the direction of Christ the Rock Ministry.  We confess this vision at every service, so we are all speaking the same thing.  1st Co 1:10.)

Father in the Name of Jesus, we come into your presence thanking you for the Christ the Rock International.  We are a supernatural Church, composed of Supernatural people, doing Supernatural things.  Reaching our city, the Nation and the World for Jesus Christ.  You have called us to be saints in Brooklyn and around the world.  We thank you that we all speak the same thing; there is no division among us, we are perfectly joined together in the same mind.  As we lift our voice in one accord, we recognize that everything was made by and for you.  Grant unto us who are your representative here, that we might speak your word with boldness and that you will confirm your word with signs following.

We thank you that in our fellowship we have workmen in abundance, in all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.  The ministry of help is in operation in this church.  We have in our fellowship Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers for the edifying of this body, till we all come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a mature person.  None of our people will be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine.  We speak the truth in love.  We are growing witnessing body of believers 50,000 strong.  We have every need met.  We speak health and prosperity for all of our fellowship.  We meet the needs of the people who come:  Spiritually, Mentally, Physically and Financially.  We ask the wisdom of God in meeting these needs. 

We thank you for our school and new church building.   We call into being those things that be not as though they were.  We thank you for our Children’s Ministry which is growing.  We thank you for sending more workers for our children.  Our fellowship is prospering financially and we have more than enough to meet every situation.  We have everything we need to carry out your Great Commission.  We are a people of love.  Love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.  We speak the Word and we thank you that the word is living big in all of us.  We thank you for your presence among us.  We lift holy hands and praise your Name!

I Am Praying For You

The Church accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God.  The all-sufficient rule for faith and practice; and for the purpose of maintaining general unity adopts the following statement of Fundamental Truths:

Tenets of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God; eternally existent in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal visible future return to this earth to receive Himself, His blood-bought Church that it may be with Him forever.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for HIM.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Holy life.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
